AI emoji search for any feeling, moment or idea
One search box works as an emoji search engine, an emoji identifier and a copy-and-paste emoji keyboard. Here is what it can do.
“nervous before an exam” → 😰 😟 😬 📝
Type a feeling, moment or idea in your own words, in English or any other language. AI search reads the whole phrase and shows the six closest emojis, ranked by relevance. Nothing fits? Rephrase or add a detail.
“melting face” → 🫠
Not sure what an emoji is called or what it means? Describe what it looks like. Its page gives you the official name, meaning, usage examples and similar emojis.
🐐 → copied → paste anywhere
Click any emoji to copy it to your clipboard; its page opens at the same time with the meaning and similar emojis. Emojis are standard Unicode characters, so they paste into chats, posts, documents and code.

Good to know: Emoji Finder covers Unicode Emoji 15.1 (2023). Newer emojis and separate skin-tone variants aren’t included yet.
A normal emoji search matches your words against emoji names and tags, so it only works if you already know what the emoji is called. Emoji Finder uses an AI model (through OpenAI’s API) that understands what you mean, so “nervous before an exam” finds 😰 😟 😬 📝 even though none of them is named that.
The AI returns its six best matches, ranked by relevance, to keep results focused. If none fits, rephrase or be more specific (for example “happy tears” instead of “happy”), or browse a category to see every emoji in it.
Search for its name or describe what it looks like, then click the result. Every emoji has its own page with its name, meaning, examples of how people use it, its history and similar emojis.
1,869 emojis from Unicode Emoji 15.1, in nine categories. Skin-tone variants are not listed separately, and emojis added in Emoji 16.0 or later are not included yet.
